03/10/2024 - Paper of the Day - Functional nanoporous graphene superlattice
The development of a chemically synthesized 2D graphene superlattice with monodisperse, square-shaped nanopores. This novel structure is created by stacking sublattices of graphene, with selective element doping at pore edges. The superlattice offers enhanced properties, including low thermal conductivity, improved electron-phonon interactions, and remarkable electromagnetic wave absorption. The research highlights potential applications in electromagnetic shielding, energy harvesting, and optoelectronics. This study provides a foundation for further exploration of 2D superlattices with tunable properties, expanding their application potential beyond that of pristine graphene.
