Today’s paper of the day discusses the development of an ultrawideband solar adsorber using MXene-based metamaterials designed for photovoltaic and solar cell applications. The structure composed of materials like MXene, SiO₂, MgF₂, and tungsten demonstrates over 80% absorption efficiency across a wide frequency range (100–2500 THz), including UV, visible, and infrared spectra. The study includes absorption stability at oblique angles, high absorption rates (>99%), and a multilayered design optimized for energy harvesting. The study uses numerical simulations to explore the impact of layer thickness, resonator sizes, and material configurations.
