This paper of the day talks about the recent progress in supramolecular Ionic Gels (SIGs), Ionic Gels (IGs) and Ionic Liquids (ILs), and their application in electronic skin and wearable devices and sensor applications. It also discusses SIG characteristics due to the interaction of polymers and ILs, such as extreme toughness, self-healing capability, and self-adhesion favorable for sensor applications. A comparison study on different materials for SIGs is shown in this paper, also developed a stretchable device for wearable applications and talks about toxicity of IGs and ILs.
