    This paper of the day designed a novel catalytic system based on Fe-doped aerogel catalyst, prepared from sodium alginate and urea, for the degradation of sulfamethoxazole using peracetic acid. Further, their theoretical calculations revealed the carbonization of the catalyst has enhanced the electron transfer between iron–carbon substrates, which has contributed to improved catalytic performance.
